Our mission is to unite women from diverse backgrounds in Tooele County who would dedicate volunteer work in the service of our community with compassion and professionalism in order to educate, inform, and empower.
The GFWC Ladies Community Club of Tooele County is affiliated with the General Federation of Woman’s Club where our members work locally to create global change by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
The GFWC is one of the largest and oldest women’s volunteer service organizations. The membership supports the arts and preservation of natural resources, promotes education, encourages healthy lifestyles, stresses civic involvement, and works toward world peace.
Elected every 2 years, made up of all volunteer professional women and homemakers alike - who want to make Tooele County a better place.
These Board Members dedicate their time, resources and energy to club members as well as their community. Next time you see one of these exceptional women, give them a high five!
I am a Tooele Native and have lived here for most of my life, other than around 15 years when my husband was in the military. I am a Life Coach and Organizational Specialist. I have been married for 33 years and we have 6 children. His, mine and ours. We have 15 wonderful grandchildren 5 of which live here in Tooele. I love to do all kinds of craft and fun colorful projects. Learning new things is a passion and I know you ALL have something to teach me. I love Tooele County and know that together we can make a difference. So looking forward to the next 2 years as your President.
Hi! My Name is Amy Carney and I will be serving as the vice president of the LCCT as well as chairing the state domestic violence awareness project for the next two years!
I have been married to my sweet husband for 17 years and he is the calm to my whirlwind! I spend free time loving my furbabies, crocheting, reading, gardening and selling homes as a local Realtor. I love to camp, and am always up for a good card or board game.
My true passions come out when giving back to our community especially when it comes to food security, domestic violence prevention and women's healthcare rights and accessibility. I am so excited to meet each of you and to make lasting positive changes in our community together!
This is my second term as secretary for this great group. I'm a mother of three grown children and 5 fur babies. I have grown up in the Tooele area and love helping this community. Looking forward to these next years with this club.
I wear many hats as a mother, grandma (Mema), Wife, Realtor, Facebook groups admin and Treasurer for the Ladies Community Club of Tooele. I find my bucket is filled by service to others. A Utah native resident of Tooele for over 10 years, active, passionate about her dog and agriculture - Madelyn loves to travel and meet new people.

I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you better in the coming years. I'm excited to serve as your grant writer, I know how powerful grants can be in changing a community for the better.
I have lived in Stansbury Park for nearly four years. I'm married to the love of my life, Mike, and between us we have 4 adult children (you may know my daughter Alex as she is also a club member).
Starting as just a child at my Mother and Father's side I have been involved in serving my community and finding ways to brighten someones day. I am passionate about helping children learn they can be anything they want to be, regardless of their life circumstances. I am a strong believer in a hand up to anyone in need.
A Navy veteran, I love spending as much time as possible with my husband, family and friends. I love the outdoors and traveling as well as quiet times.
We have accomplished so much this last year as a GFWC chapter and I know we can have continued success and learn from each other. I have worked the last 24 years in business management, finance and real estate.

My name is Dorothy Norrington. I am so excited to be a member of the Ladies Community Club of Tooele. I grew up here and love having the opportunity to give back to my community. I am happily married to my best friend, Ray. We have been married for 7 years, but together for 19. I have an adult son, CJ and his wife Mariah that I love watching build their lives in Tooele. I work as a Special Education teacher for Tooele County School District. I love what I do; I like working with students and their parents to ensure they are getting the best education and life skills possible for them to become contributing members of society.
My hobbies include reading, camping, travel, and anything to do with nature. Anytime I can combine two or more on the same trip is even better! I am passionate about many things, but my top three are Veterans, Children, and Literacy or reading. I believe passion drives us and leads to positive change. I look forward to sharing my passions with you and learning about yours.

I joined LCC with the goal of finding an avenue with ample opportunities for supporting the community. This group has provided that as well as a supportive, encouraging system for everyone within the group.
I look forward to serving as your Volunteer Coordinator during the next two years.
This position is fitting, as I was always told I was born with my hand in the air volunteering for something or helping someone. I am a transplant to the Tooele Valley and have been married for almost 10 years and have an adult daughter, a grand-cat, and grand-iguana.
